The company is leading developments at Lake Lorraine and Cherry Lake Reserve and finding solid interest in both.
A retail center along Marion Road is the first phase of the 130-acre Lake Lorraine project and will open this winter. There’s increasing interest from national retailers and hotels in the development, and a senior living complex will start construction this year.
The Cherry Lake Reserve neighborhood is attracting interest from homebuyers and eventually will add restaurants and other services.
Combine them with Van Buskirk’s other residential neighborhoods under construction and the company’s portfolio of retail and office space, and it will be a busy year.
“I think we’re going to have a good, solid year,” Mike Van Buskirk said. “We’ve been in an uptrend, and I don’t see any reason to necessarily think it was going to stop.”
