Van Buskirk Companies is now hiring a Construction Superintendent who will work in conjunction with a Project Manager/Coordinator to plan, direct and coordinate all field activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of residential and commercial building projects, and to complete the work on schedule, within budget and overseeing high quality workmanship.  A comprehensive benefits package including group health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, holidays and supplemental insurance options are offered to full-time employees.


Requirements of the position include:

*High school diploma required, completion of vocational school or college courses a bonus
*Eight to ten years of related experience or equivalent
*Valid driver’s license
*Eligible to work in the United States
*Must be able to project manage using critical thinking, strong communication skills, time management, negotiation and organization/coordination skills
*Must have the skills and ability to operate and use a broad spectrum of tools and equipment by following proper safety procedures
*Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance as well as perform tasks that require pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, bending and should have strong manual dexterity 
*Must be organized, detailed and able to maintain a schedule and adjust according to various scheduling requirements
*Must be courteous, confidential, trustworthy and responsible to tenants, customers, vendors and the general public
*Must be able to work in all weather conditions
*Must be able to work in all weather conditions, at various heights, in confined and noisy spaces
