Van Buskirk Construction has been busy wrapping up some exciting commercial projects right here in Sioux Falls. The most recent commercial projects that have finished up include Starbucks, Sport Clips Haircuts, and The Sonography Studio. They also have been working on a huge expansion project set for a large manufacturer and supplier company here in town.
The Sonography Studio and Starbucks projects were both at the Lake Lorraine development on the west side of town. Each project was a unique venture with specific building requirements from the clients. Starbucks was a project that required careful consideration in the design process to make sure they were meeting the corporate branding standards. As a well-established and very recognizable brand, it was very important to execute on the build in a way that suited the company’s needs and preferences to ensure consistency and functionality. With the project’s completion, Lake Lorraine now has a popular barista to offer visitors along with the many retail and restaurant options.
The Sonography Studio project was unique in its need for medical-grade spaces. The Sonography Studio is a Sioux City based company that has expanded to Sioux Falls offering an all-in-one pregnancy, postpartum, and women’s wellness studio. With service offerings from sonograms to massage therapy, this space needed to be well suited for a multitude of uses. The project turned out beautifully, providing the perfect space to accommodate their many needs while also providing a beautiful space that compliments their brand perfectly.
Further to the west, VBC took on a unique salon project at the Westown Marketplace. The Sport Clips Haircuts venture was a fun project that exhibited the brand’s love for everything sports. From courtside-like seating in the waiting room, to TV hook ups in every room for the ultimate sports experience in men’s grooming, the project turned out amazing! Its sure to be any sports enthusiast’s new favorite place for mens hair care.
The next big project on the horizon is a large expansion at Heiman Fire Equipment on the very north end of town. Van Buskirk Construction finished building Heiman Fire Equipment’s manufacturing facility and office here in Sioux Falls back in 2017. They are now looking to expand with a 32,000 square foot G3 Fire factory where they will fabricate copolymer polypropylene tanks and products for fire trucks. Over the years, the company has evolved into a multi-faceted company with nationwide fire equipment sales, fire truck manufacturing, service and refurbishments, plastics fabrication, and industrial sales and service. The new facility combines all three local divisions of Heiman Fire under one roof to allow more efficient communication and workflow between all divisions of the company and provides customers with knowledgeable staff during every phase of the purchasing process.
